WTW is delighted to partner with Women Returners on this cross company returner programme for a third year. They are looking for returners to join their Client team, Manager Research team and their Portfolio Management team.

The Returner Programme
The programme offers a professionally paid placement for 6 months, from April until October 2022. Positions are at mid to senior level.
You will receive internal mentoring, together with coaching support from Women Returners to help you to transition successfully back into the workplace. As part of the cross-company programme you will benefit from a ready-made peer support group. WTW are delighted to have built a network of returners for you to work alongside.
Flexible working options may be available during and after the programme depending on the role. WTW promotes agile working practices.
Who are they looking for?
The programme is targeted at individuals with relevant professional backgrounds who have taken a career break for 18 months or more (as at April 2022). You may have been working on a small-scale basis to fit around your other commitments or have not done any paid work for a number of years.
The opportunities with WTW are:
Investment Research
This role sits within their Global Manager Research Team. Research includes interviewing some of the most highly respected investment managers in the world, helping to form robust opinions on such areas as investment skill, culture and the ability to meet their clients’ objectives. Thought-leadership and innovation are at the heart of the research agenda to develop the most optimal solutions for their global client-base, thus creativity, curiosity, a strong knowledge of financial markets and desire to improve outcomes for clients will be necessary. The team work closely with portfolio management teams to develop best-in-class specialist and multi-asset solutions.
Skills & experience:
- Asset class/fund research experience preferred (including consulting or portfolio management) or any relevant fund experience (e.g. product specialist, operations, risk management)
- Open to other investment backgrounds including risk management and trading
Portfolio manager
They are looking for an insightful, adaptable and motivated individual to join their fast growing team as a multi-asset portfolio manager. The Portfolio Management team is ultimately responsible for the investment content that is included in all of their delegated portfolios. A Portfolio Manager is assigned to each client, and in that role is responsible for all investment decision-making on that portfolio.
Skills & experience:
- Experience from an asset management or investment consulting environment would be beneficial
- Some experience and confidence in portfolio decision making or advice in a range of asset classes
- A strong motivation to apply your existing understanding of investment principles, different asset classes and investment management approaches to their business
Investment Consultant
They are looking for an insightful, adaptable, and motivated consultant to join our Investments business in the Clients team. They are a close, collaborative team and you will benefit from opportunities to work with a broad range of interesting clients in the UK. They have a fiduciary management/delegated relationship with some clients and work with others in a more traditional advisory capacity. The role is both analytical and client facing – you will be involved in overseeing the preparation of advice of the proposed investment solutions and will also be discussing ideas and advice to clients. Building relationships internally and with clients and third parties is a key aspect of the role.
Skills & experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of UK DB pension liabilities and of UK DC pensions is expected but you will be supported to apply your knowledge and experience to the role
- Ability and desire to build relationships and adapt your communication skills to the needs of different clients and stakeholders
