Meet Softcat
Softcat is a leading technology solutions provider. They operate as a partner to major vendors like Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and Cisco – leveraging their products to make technology work for some of the UK’s biggest companies, as well as for many different public sector clients.
Softcat has grown to become a £1.6billion turnover company, with nine offices and over 1,900 employees, and they navigated the pandemic without furloughing or staff cuts. They’re even in the process of expanding and opened their first office in the USA.
Softcat’s success is down to its culture: being committed and hardworking, but also friendly and down to earth. They like to say their team feels like one family. Their ‘Best Employer’ awards in 2021 are proof that they really value their people and that Softcat is a popular place to be. For more information about the company, visit the Softcat website. What Softcat is looking for
Firstly, Softcat wants to be super clear. You do NOT need to have a tech background to join them. They’re interested in hearing from career returners with an interest in tech. Especially welcome are women career-returners-to-work.
What they’re really after are the personal attributes you’ve developed throughout your life. Good team working skills. Determination, and a sense of responsibility. Calmness under pressure. Attention to detail. A sense of community through collaboration.
The truth is that people succeed at Softcat if they want to learn and grow. If they’re undaunted by new challenges. And if they want to make the most of their abilities. Softcat thinks career returners possess that potential in abundance.

These roles require a full-time working commitment (unfortunately part-time work commitments cannot be considered).
