Why join the Microsoft TechHer Discovery Days for Returners
Are you passionate about tech? Are you willing to put time and effort into learning new things? Have you had an extended career break? If the answer is yes, no matter your background, circumstances or experience, then you are invited to join the Microsoft TechHer Discovery Days for returners.
There has never been a better time to start your tech journey, with only 19% of women working in the Tech industry in the UK. 69% of UK business leaders say that their organisation is currently facing a digital skills shortage. Businesses rely on technologies and services to keep critical applications and processes running. That means there is a high demand for professionals skilled in technologies. By 2025, 80% of tech products and services will be built by non-IT professionals (Gartner).
Who are the Discovery Days targeted at?
TechHer has been designed for women at all stages of their career, no matter their background. Whether you have previous experience in a STEM career, or you’re looking for a change and want to find out more, you’re welcome to join.
There are three key groups that tend to join the TechHer events and community, one of which you may be able to relate to. These groups are: New Tech Talent, Upskiller, and Modernisers.
How will you benefit from a Discovery Day?
The Event will provide you with the opportunity to find out more from a potential employer about their skilling gap areas and tech needs and to start your skilling journey with learning resources from Microsoft.
What happens after the Discovery Day?
