Who is the programme aimed at?
The aim of this programme is to support professionals who are returning to work following a career break, by giving the opportunity to further develop your skills and experience in a collaborative and innovative organisation.
To be eligible for the programme you must:
- Have been on a career break for a minimum of 18 months as of November 2023
- Have previously worked in a professional role within the following area:
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Supply Chain & Logistics
- Information Systems
- Project Management
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Have been a resident in the UK for the past 5 years

Those joining the Leidos Create Programme will be supporting the Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence. This is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain. Team Leidos is helping to transform the UK’s defence supply chain by providing an integration of a complex mixture of services, at low risk, using a modern suite of systems that will deliver one version of the truth. For the first time, the MOD will see the whole picture, as it is happening.

Opportunities on offer:
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will support the team in compliance and assurance activities required on the LCST Programme.
Skills or experience needed in this field:
- Awareness of Quality assurance and Control activities
- Knowledge of ISO standards
- Audit experience
- (Desirable) Experience of working within a Defence or Logistics environment
The role will be hybrid, working from home and working out of the Leidos Bristol office when required to support meetings, with some UK travel required.
Supply Chain & Logistics
The Storage, Distribution and Freight function of the business is responsible for technical oversight of £6Bn of Defence inventory across a number of locations and its distribution thereafter to UK and global destinations using a range of multi-modal outlets.
Skills or experience needed in this field:
- Interaction with Supply Chain Warehouse Management Systems
- Vendor Management – this might include contract review and supplier due diligence
- Competent user of Microsoft 365 tools
- Stakeholder management
- A natural curiosity to seek out solutions
- (Desirable) Supply Chain Management/Operations either within Defence or a commercial logistics environment
The role will be hybrid with a mix of Bristol office, home and client site working. UK travel required.
Information Systems
The Leidos agile team designs, develops, and maintains cloud infrastructure using a tailored SAFe Agile SecDevOps Scrum process. They use best practices and patterns to perform design, development using AWS Services and Infrastructure as Code.
Skills or experience needed in this field:
- Experience working with design and implementation of systems and applications in AWS
- Windows system administration experience, managing Windows server and active directory
- AWS Certifications
The role will be hybrid, working from home and working out of their Bristol office when required to support meetings.
Project Management
Reporting into the Leidos IS Programme Manager, you will deliver change initiatives implementing digital transformation for one of the world’s foremost military operations, while generating hundreds of millions in savings for the UK Government and Taxpayers.
Skills or experience needed in this field:
- A proven track record in delivering end-to-end projects, or work packages as part of a larger programme
- Demonstrable experience in project management, including management of change, planning & scheduling, risk management and cost control
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively
The role will be hybrid, working from home and out of their Bristol office when required for team meetings, with some occasional UK travel to customer sites.
Clearance Requirements:
All applicants will be required to go through Baseline Personnel Security Standards (BPSS) Clearance before joining and then be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) Clearance at a later date.
The clearance application will include:

- Personal & employment referencing
