Legal & General is offering a variety of opportunities for career returners across Group Functions, L&G Retail, L&G General Capital, L&G Investment Management and L&G Retirement Institutional. They recognise that returning to work after a career break may feel daunting but their programme will provide you support you need to transition back into a fulfilling career.
About the Programme
The programme is offering permanent and fixed term contract roles across different business areas. It is targeted at individuals who have taken a career break of 18 months or more (as at June 2023). During this time you may not have participated in any paid work, or you may have chosen to work on a small-scale or self-employed basis to fit around other commitments.
L&G will fully support your transition back into the workplace. Alongside the Career Returners Coaching Programme from Women Returners, you will be allocated with a buddy for your day to day questions. As part of the returner programme, you will also benefit from being part of an internal returner cohort.
Opportunities on the Programme
Legal & General Retirement Institutional (LGRI)
Securing pensions over the long term can be a challenge for many businesses. Their ambition at Legal & General Retirement Institutional (LGRI) is to help companies and pension scheme trustees honour their defined benefit pension promises to their employees. They are helping companies settle their pension liabilities so they can focus on growing their businesses, as well as helping to support their members’ financial security in retirement. And they are investing for the long term to back their pension promises. In the last 30 years they’ve written more UK business than any other insurer, and they currently look after more than half a million pension policyholders. They are the UK’s longest-serving active bulk annuity provider, and a market-leading, multi-award winning business.
Product Director – London
They are creating a digital movement within the division and are looking for an entrepreneurial Product Director to help innovate and execute technology initiatives across the division by working closely and collaboratively with their creative and prolific teams of developers and operational specialists to build digital solutions for both their business and their customers. This is an initial 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
Director, Pension Risk Transfer – London
In this role you will be working in, and managing parts of, a multi-award-winning team of actuaries and actuarial students who are responsible for developing new deals and de-risking opportunities for pension schemes. You will also work on all aspects of new deal execution, with the aim of meeting ambitious value and volume based new business delivery targets. They are looking for a qualified actuary for this role.
A bit about you
They would like you to be clear about who you are and what motivates you. L&G recognise everyone has unique skills and personalities, that what unites them all is the fact that they are purposeful in how they deliver, collaborative in how they work, and straightforward in how they communicate. If that sounds like you, they’d love to hear from you!
