About the Program
Reignite your career on the Wells Fargo’s Glide programme!
If you have taken a break from the corporate working environment for 18 months or more for any reason such as family commitments or starting up a new venture, then this opportunity may be for you.
Join their 16-week paid return-to-work program. It’s designed specifically for individuals who are looking to restart their careers in a Global Investment Bank. With the Glide program, you’ll receive the resources and support necessary to accelerate your professional growth. Successful candidates will also receive coaching support from Women Returners.
On the programme, you’ll spend 80% of your time fully immersed in a specific role aligned with your expertise and aspirations. This hands-on experience will refresh your skills and showcase your potential.
The remaining 20% of your time will be dedicated to a cohort curriculum experience led by a programme manager. This unique opportunity includes coaching, soft skills workshops, and opportunities to network with senior leaders. You’ll be assigned a “Buddy” who will be able to provide invaluable guidance during your time with them to help you excel.
Upon successful completion of the program and having met performance expectations, you’ll have the opportunity to transition into a permanent, full-time, benefit-eligible role. This is your chance to shape your future, kickstarting your career with a global bank that is dedicated to your success.
Who is the program aimed at?
The program is aimed at individuals who are looking to relaunch their careers after an extended career break and who would like to join a dynamic and collaborative culture.
You will:
- Have been on a career break for a minimum of 18 months as of September 2023
- Have previous experience within the Financial Services/banking sector
- Have experience within Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets, Chief Operating Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Audit &/or HR
- Have reached Associate/Vice President or an equivalent title in your previous role
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to commit to the full 16-week programme from 4 March 2024 – 28 June 2024

Banking Capital Markets
The Banking Capital Markets team sits within Wells Fargo’s Corporate and Investment Bank and is dedicated to understanding the unique competitive and operating environments of their clients. The group combines strong relationships and industry knowledge with superior capital markets and advisory capabilities that includes debt underwriting, loan syndications and corporate finance solutions. The team maintains active relationships with a broad universe of large corporate, financial sponsor and institutional clients, and is highly experienced in delivering exceptional execution.
Banking Capital Markets is organized across coverage and product teams and there are opportunities in either. Within their coverage group they have teams in Corporate Banking, Financial Institutions and Fund Finance. Within their Product group they have teams covering Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Real Estate Syndicated Finance and Loan Syndications.
Global Markets – Sales & Trading (Front Office)
Their Global Markets team delivers a comprehensive set of capital market products and solutions to the broader Wells Fargo customer base, ranging from distribution of public debt and equity products to hedging interest rates, credit and equity risks.
The EMEA Markets Division comprises of Sales & Trading teams who cover regional institutional & corporate clients & trade Fixed Income products. Specifically, they cover FX, Rates, Equities, Credit and Structured Products and have roles in sales and trading. For the right individuals, there could be opportunities in any of these areas.
The Chief Operating Office (COO)
The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.
Within the Chief Operating Office there could be opportunities in Data Management and Insights or Business & Operational resiliency or Change management or Business Management.
Operations
Operations is responsible for supporting their front office trading efforts including customer due diligence and CASS Assurance to ensure there are rules & policies in place to safeguard their client’s assets.
Within Operations there could be opportunities in Capital Markets Middle Office (Trade support) or Know Your Customer (KYC)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or Product & Strategy or Cass Assurance.
Corporate functions
You don’t have to be part of the front office to be considered. Within their EMEA Corporate Functions there could be opportunities within Risk, Compliance, Finance, Audit or Human Resources among other departments.
