Corporate Bank and Branch Operations
As the engine room of the Corporate Bank, they deliver dependable services to their clients every day and continuously improve their processes and solutions. Their product offering includes Cash Management, including Surveillance and Messaging services, Trade Finance, Lending solutions, Securities Services and Trust & Agency Services including Custody. They are available for their clients 24/7, enabling them to develop and grow sustainably.

Know Your Client – Operations
KYC Operations plays an integral part in the firm’s first line of defence against financial crime. They work with their front-to-back partners across the business to ensure that Anti-Money Laundering (AML) risk is appropriately captured, measured and managed, whilst being client-centric and commercial. They ensure all new and existing clients, are processed and updated on a timely basis to the relevant Policy and key operating standards.
You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to identify, analyse, plan, prioritise and problem solve in a matrixed organisation.
Chief Risk Office
The Chief Risk Office has Group-wide responsibility for the management and control of all credit, market, valuation, operational, enterprise and liquidity risks – continually developing their methods of risk measurement and creating a bank-wide strong risk culture. Deutsche Bank has been named ‘Bank Risk Manager of the Year’ by the leading publication risk.net for the third consecutive year (2020 – 2022).
You will need previous experience within a financial services risk function, a can-do attitude and the ability to work independently. Knowledge of banking products and services, including those related to (some but not all of) corporate banking, investment banking, private banking, and / or asset management would be beneficial.
Compliance
Compliance at Deutsche Bank sits at the heart of the Bank’s non-financial risk control framework to manage compliance risk across DB geographies and businesses. Through established risk management processes, the experience of their Compliance teams, in partnership with other 2nd line of defence functions and in co-operation with their business divisions, Compliance is at the forefront of helping to protect DB and its clients from Conduct and Regulatory risk.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a compliance or regulatory role in financial services and bring an understanding of one or more of either Fixed Income, Wealth Management, Corporate Banking or Private Banking. Knowledge of European and UK Regulations, including Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules would also be beneficial. You will need a clear, logical approach, be able to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and have strong analytical, workflow and data interpretation skills.
Origination and Advisory
Origination and Advisory (O&A) provides the full range of investment banking products and services for large-cap and mid-cap corporates and financial sponsors. Their offering consists of comprehensive financial advisory and capital raising services – including buy-side and sell-side Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and restructuring advice, underpinned by one of the world’s largest and most successful debt (DCM and LDCM) and equity capital markets platforms (ECM). Transaction Coordination Group (TCG) is a cross-divisional function supporting O&A for the lifecycle of the client onboarding process inclusive of Know Your Client (KYC) due diligence activities for new and existing clients, in addition to the loan closing processes in their lending business.
With a strong understanding of loan and bond transactions, Know Your Client (KYC), Anti-Financial Crime (AFC), and the broader banking regulatory environment, you’ll be a reliable team player with problem-solving skills, a risk mindset and a can-do attitude. Experience in Leveraged Finance as well as European language skills (French, German, Italian or others) are also beneficial.
Fixed Income and Currencies
Fixed Income & Currencies brings together a top-ranked institutional sales force, world-class research with trading and structuring expertise across Foreign Exchange, Rates, Credit and Emerging Markets. The Fixed Income & Currencies business enables Deutsche Bank to respond to increasing automation, regulatory expectations and client demand for standardisation and transparency in execution across fixed income, currency and emerging markets.
You will need professional work experience across financial services including Fixed Income, Corporate Finance or Structured Lending across financial services, strategy, accounting, legal or aligned to industries. Strong analytical aptitude is also required alongside extensive product knowledge, market acumen including sense of macro & micro economic developments. An entrepreneurial and creative mindset to maximise client value and identify new opportunities is critical as is the ability to operate in an agile environment and continuously navigate and thrive on novel situations, problems and challenges.
Corporate Bank – Account Management and Senior Counsel
Their Corporate Bank is a market leader in Cash Management, Trade Finance & Lending, Securities Services and Trust & Agency Services (TAS). With offices internationally, the Trust and Agency Services team has long been recognised as a leader in the provision of administrative and fiduciary services to the global debt and equities markets. It supports structures from the simplest to the most complex, covering Asset Backed Securities, Collateralised Loan Obligation (CLO) and Managed accounts, Corporate Debt, Escrows, Project Finance, Loan Agency and Depositary Receipts.
Account Management
A good understanding of the global financial services industry and debt capital markets/ structured finance are key to this role. You will have some knowledge and experience of processing Issuing & Paying Agency Operations, Structured Finance Transaction documentation and Capital Markets operations. An experienced client relationship manager, you will demonstrate the ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.
Senior Counsel
You will have experience in Debt / Equity Capital Markets including legal, corporate banking or ancillary services. Knowledge of structured finance, conventional debt products and other multi-jurisdictional products will be crucial. Adept at documentation review and negotiation, legal qualifications would be beneficial. European language skills are also useful in this role, as well as Russian.
Anti-Financial Crime
Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) performs a crucial role in keeping their business operations and global financial services clean from financial crime – serving the interests of the bank and society. Their regional/global matrix structure allows for flexible responses to challenges in the core areas of: Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Fraud, Bribery & Corruption, Investigations & Intelligence, Monitoring & Screening, and Risk Assessment.
Previous AFC experience within financial services and a proven track record of delivery are required. You will need broad knowledge of banking products and services, including those related to (some but not all of) corporate banking, investment banking, private banking, and / or asset management. In addition, you’ll have strong stakeholder management skills, high personal integrity and the flexibility and commitment to operate successfully in a change environment.
Technology – Developer/Engineer and Business Analyst/Project Manager
Technology plays a critical role in Deutsche Bank’s transformation. Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) drives an integrated IT, data, and security agenda across the bank. The function is responsible for implementing the bank’s technology strategy through strengthening their engineering expertise. Leveraging an agile delivery model, they are focussed on reducing administrative overheads, de-coupling assets within their IT estate and modernizing the bank’s IT infrastructure with long-term investments and the benefits of cloud computing.
Developer/Engineer
You will need to be proficient with one or more programming languages and/or front-end development. Experience with modern software delivery techniques (e.g. agile/lean, TDD, pair programming, DevOps), exposure to Cloud technologies and a desire to work globally in an agile organization with frequent deliveries are also core to the role.
Business Analyst/Project Manager
A background in either Business Analysis or Project Management on large scale projects is desirable, preferably under an Agile SDLC. You will also be an excellent communicator, articulate in both technical and non-technical environments and have experience in data analysis/manipulation.
Group Audit
A global function of approximately 800 team members, Group Audit is the bank’s ‘Third Line of Defence’ acting as an independent and forward-looking challenger and adviser to Senior Management. They are also strongly relied upon by local regulators. Partnering with all of their business lines including the Investment Bank, Corporate Bank and International Private Bank, they also closely collaborate with other functional areas such as, Technology, Anti-Financial Crime, Compliance, Risk, Finance and Operations.
