Opportunities on the programme
BNY Mellon is delighted to partner with Women Returners and the Diversity Project for a third year to participate in this programme and they have a number of opportunities across their business in Investment Management, Investment Services, Corporate Staff, and Technology. BNY Mellon will consider both 6-month returnship opportunities and permanent supported hiring for all roles. Alongside the Career Returner Coaching Programme delivered by Women Returners, BNY Mellon will provide you with a mentor and buddy to support your return to work transition.
Investment Management
Alternatives and Real Asset Analyst – join the Mixed Asset team based in London charged with deploying capital into new investments as well as managing Newton’s existing investments in listed infrastructure, renewables, utilities, US YieldCos, real asset focused REITs and other real asset investments. This opportunity has the potential to evolve into a portfolio management function over time.
Senior Compliance Officer – provide compliance and regulatory support to the business, as directed by the Head of UK Advisory and Global Chief Compliance Officer, and assist in the day to day leadership and mentorship of the compliance advisory team.
Product Marketing Executive – responsible for the project management of a program of collateral updates, planning delivery and communicating to stakeholders. These materials will include the standard updates of monthly and quarterly presentations, delivery of materials for client pitch and update meetings. Additionally working with the product marketing managers, managing the development and updating of materials used in campaigns and communications.
Retirement Marketing Manager – developing and delivering the retirement marketing programme with the overall objective of establishing BNY Mellon Investment Management as a top 10 asset management provider in the UK retirement market. To deliver on this mandate, the role must work closely with central marketing functions as well as forming a close strategic alignment to UK Sales. The role requires a deep understanding UK retirement market, current trends, regulatory framework and future developments.
Investment Services
Senior Transaction Manager – responsible for reviewing highly complex specialized deals transactions/structures aligned to a business or multiple product segments from initiation through closing. Key liaison with outside counsel and in conjunction with Client & Business Development may drive and take lead in negotiation of the terms of the structure
Corporate Services
Audit Project Leader, Treasury/Liquidity Risk – The internal Audit mission is to contribute to the effectiveness of the Company’s internal controls by providing independent, risk-based assurance reviews designed to identify control risks, risk mitigants, control gaps, and opportunities to improve efficiency. The position is a role for a Treasury/ Liquidity Risk subject matter expertise (SME) audit lead. This role is based in London, although the individual will be part of a regional team and participate in audits on an international basis.
Technology
Full Stack Developer – As a Senior Full-Stack Developer in the Segregation Technology team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Java/Spring-based microservices and Angular 5/6/9 UI interfaces that drive the platform to meet current and strategic user needs. You will work with fellow services and front-end developers to ensure a robust, highly scalable, distributed capability that is fault-tolerant and highly efficient. As a Senior member of the team, you will be expected to drive technology research, adoption, and innovation, to ensure the platform remains current, while providing technical guidance and mentoring to more junior developers. Additionally, in your senior role, you will be contributing to architectural direction, and mapping of business cases to the technical architecture.
Manager, Application Development – The Digital Assets technology team is looking for a motivated, skilled Engineer to be part of their Engineering team focusing on standing up new Digital Assets capabilities, building Integration with other FinTech partners as well deploying on a multi cloud infrastructure.
The programme is open to individuals who have taken a career break of 18 months or more (as at April 2023). You may have been working on a small-scale basis to fit around your other commitments or have not done any paid work for a number of years.
