Bloomberg is partnering with Women Returners to launch Bloomberg Career Returners, supporting people who are looking to return to the workplace after an extended career break back into permanent roles in the organisation.

Bloomberg is running an interview skills webinar open to all returners who may want a refresh of their skills and/or have a current or future interest in applying to roles at Bloomberg. This session is on 5 May at 10am and you can register here. (Register before 4 May at 6pm)

About you

To be eligible for the programme you must:

  • Have relevant or transferable professional skills and experience for the role you apply for
  • Be available to start on a permanent basis in 2022
  • Have taken a career break for 18 months or more. Your career break could be for any reason. During your career break you may have been volunteering or working on a smaller-scale or may not have been in any paid employment for some time.
  • Visa sponsorship may be available dependent on role. You can speak with Bloomberg’s recruitment team for any questions on this.

What you can expect

  • The programme offers a supported route back to experienced level positions on a permanent basis across several business areas within Bloomberg. Roles will be in London.
  • You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, team environment within a growing international business
  • You will receive internal and external support to help you to transition successfully back into the workplace, including a mentor and buddy and specialised returner coaching from Women Returners.

Current Opportunities

Portfolio & Risk Analytics Client Support

The Portfolio & Risk Analytics Client Support team performs a client facing role, liaising with portfolio managers, risk and performance analysts and back/middle-office professionals.

The team supports clients of the Bloomberg PORT solutions with exceptional service that allows them to operate effectively.

When you join, you will complete Bloomberg’s Analytics training programme, which is a comprehensive training covering all aspects of the financial markets: economic principles, market players and asset classes while teaching you all there is to know about the functionality and analytical tools Bloomberg has to offer.

There is also an opportunity to complete an asset class specialism.

Enterprise Buyside or Sellside Client Support

Bloomberg’s Enterprise Support teams provide exceptional service to clients across a suite of products including buyside and sellside order, execution and position management systems, in addition to risk and regulatory solutions that allows Bloomberg clients to operate effectively.

When you join, you will complete Bloomberg’s Analytics training programme, which is a comprehensive training covering all aspects of the financial markets: economic principles, market players and asset classes while teaching you all there is to know about the functionality and analytical tools Bloomberg has to offer.

There is also an opportunity to complete an asset class specialism.

Market Specialists

The Market Specialist team support the sales teams, serving as subject matter experts within Bloomberg.  You will be consulting with senior decision makers at client accounts, helping to close new sale opportunities, and providing critical feedback to help shape the development of Bloomberg’s product. By promoting the Bloomberg Professional Service at market events and through printed material, you become the face of Bloomberg.

For this position Bloomberg is ideally looking for someone who has been an asset class specialist having spent time in a front office role as a Bloomberg terminal user. This will perfectly place you to understand the client’s workflow and needs.
