BlackRock is delighted to partner with Women Returners on the London Returners Programme, as they believe a wide range of perspectives and talent is crucial to creating a richer culture for their employees and a greater experience for their diversified global client base.

BlackRock is looking for candidates with prior experience in Investment Management or broader Financial Services, who have had a career break outside of Industry of at least two years (with no upper limit). You must have the right to work in the UK to apply for the programme.

About the BlackRock London Returners Programme

The programme is designed to encourage and support a return to full-time work for up to ten experienced candidates through a six-month paid returnship starting in September 2022.

They are seeking experienced individuals who are client orientated and passionate about performance, who display collaborative and innovative mindsets, and bring an eclectic set of proficiencies to the workplace; prioritisation, analytical and organisational skills amongst others.

BlackRock Sustainable Investing (BSI) is part of the organization at the forefront of redefining the financial services industry towards a more sustainable future. The team unifies the firm’s sustainable investment strategies onto a single platform and partners with their global investment and distribution teams to develop scalable and innovative solutions ranging from screens and environmental social governance (ESG) strategies to Impact Investing.

Business Operations:

BlackRock’s global network of operations professionals centralize knowledge, equip teams with data and technology, and provide the information needed to innovate and deliver for internal stakeholders and clients.

Fundamental Active Equities:

Their fundamental active equity investment strategies leverage BlackRock’s resources in efforts to meet client demands for higher alpha and outcome-oriented strategies. Each of their fundamental strategies focuses on company-specific research that’s driven by human insight and enhanced by innovative technologies.

Risk & Quantitative Analysis Group

Risk & Quantitative Analysis (RQA) group performs the risk management activities and quantitative analysis functions at BlackRock. RQA’s principal responsibility is to ensure that the risks in the portfolios managed by BlackRock are fully understood by their portfolio managers and consistent with their client’s objectives; and to know the risks by thoroughly understanding the investments and providing the best analytics and tools.

Global Trading

The trading team generates alpha for clients across; scientific, fundamental and index products. They partner with portfolio managers to optimize returns through a variety of trade types. BlackRock is a pioneer of using quantitative techniques and sophisticated models to improve the performance of its Securities Lending business.
