BlackRock is delighted to partner with Women Returners on the Returners to Financial Services Scotland Cross-Company Returner Programme 2022. They believe a wide range of perspectives and talent is crucial to creating a richer culture for their employees and a greater experience for their diversified global client base.

BlackRock is looking for candidates with prior experience in Investment Management or broader Financial Services, who have had a career break outside of the industry of at least 18 months (with no upper limit). You must have the right to work in the UK to apply for the programme.

About the BlackRock Edinburgh Returners Programme

The programme is designed to encourage and support a return to full-time work for experienced candidates through a six-month paid returnship starting in March 2022. There are opportunities in Operations, Internal Audit, Finance and Aladdin Implementation functions. BlackRock is seeking experienced professional women who are client orientated and passionate about performance, who display collaborative and innovative mindsets, and who bring an eclectic set of proficiencies to the workplace: prioritisation, analytical and organisational skills amongst others.

As this programme is funded by the Scottish Government Women Returners Fund, it is only open for women to apply.

You may have taken time out to look after children or elderly/sick relatives, for relocation, for a personal health issue or for other reasons. You may have been working on a small-scale basis to fit around your other commitments or have not done any paid work for a number of years.

How will BlackRock support your return to work?

  • The programme offers a professionally paid placement from March to September 2022. Positions are at a professional level with a range of roles and areas available
  • The 6-month placement will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience to apply for a permanent role at the end of the programme
  • You will receive internal mentoring and a buddy, together with coaching support from Women Returners to help you to transition successfully back into the workplace. As coaching support will be delivered centrally, you will benefit from a large supportive peer network of like-minded people across the organisations
  • BlackRock offers a variety of internal networking groups, including a Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) and Families at BlackRock (FAB) to help you integrate into the business and culture
  • BlackRock is serious about its people and offers flexible working patterns, flexible time off, collaborative working spaces and a growing number of other benefits
