FinTech Cross-Company Returners Programme
Are you a UK FinTech Employer interested in hiring returning professionals?
Women Returners is excited to be partnering with Innovate Finance, the not-for-profit industry body representing the UK’s global FinTech community, to launch a UK FinTech Cross-Company Returners Programme. The aim of the programme is to bring experienced tech and financial services professionals who have taken extended career breaks for childcare, eldercare or other reasons into FinTech. This will help FinTech employers to achieve the sector goal of increasing diversity at mid to senior levels: gender (90% of the people who take caring-related breaks are female), age and experience. The programme is primarily targeted at high-growth FinTech scale-ups, but it is open to all FinTech employers who can offer 2-5 suitable opportunities.
About the Returners Programme
The Returners Programme will consist of a 6-month professionally-paid ‘returnship’ placement, with a view to a permanent role if the placement is successful for both sides. Women Returners will co-ordinate and manage the programme and will provide consulting support to participating employers and coaching support to the returner cohort. The likely start date is Jan/Feb 2022, with advertising launching in Sept/Oct 2021.
The initiative is based on the successful cross-company programme which Women Returners has run over the last 2 years in partnership with the Diversity Project (an employer-led body in the savings and investment sector), including firms such as BlackRock, Aviva and Fidelity International.
