Who they are looking for

You may have been working on a small-scale basis to fit around your other commitments or have not done any paid work for a number of years.  Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Opportunities are available within:

Banking – Strategy/Project

The Banking Team designs and implements the right support for Starling’s personal and business customers and ensures they meet the needs of their growing customer base and product suite. You will help them build the bank – ensuring they can support new products and manage the complexities that come with rapid growth. Banking or commercial/business, project management, consultancy, FinTech or other start-up experience preferred.

Technology – Engineering

Starling is looking for fantastic technologists from a variety of backgrounds and with a range of skills to join a dynamic and agile team of technologists, entrepreneurs, designers, brand and customer experts with a flat structure in building a next generation bank. Starling has built their own banking system and have their own full technology stack. Their development approach is agile-based, enabling rapid software upgrades and they are one of the first banks completely in the Cloud using Amazon Web Services. Their engineers are committed to keeping up with Apple and Android developments and delivering their updates efficiently to both systems. Starling’s main hiring priorities are currently Java and Android Engineers, but they don’t have a long list of requirements where specific skills and experience are concerned – instead, all that they ask is that you are a skilled, caring, invested, passionate engineer!

Operations – Customer Experience

Reporting directly to the Senior Customer Experience Manager, you’ll work closely with the Operations Leadership Team to create, develop and define new and existing processes, procedures and systems. You’ll work to identify gaps and improvements in order to improve the customer experience. Starling is looking for people with experience working at management level in an Operations Team and knowledge of process improvement in relation to the Customer Experience/Customer Journey.

Research shows that some candidates can be reluctant to apply to a role unless they meet all the criteria. Starling Bank prides itself on the diversity of its teams and the passion of its people – if the role excites you, get in touch and tell them why!
