The programme is a fully supported route back to professional level work for individuals who have taken a career break of 18 months or more. Hymans Robertson can offer flexible working and are happy to consider a variety of working patterns including part time.

About Hymans Robertson Returner Programme  

  • A professionally paid placement of 6 months, starting in February/March 2022, with the high likelihood of a permanent role at the end of the programme
  • You will receive coaching support from Women Returners to help you to transition successfully back into the workplace
  • A great opportunity to refresh your knowledge and skills, whilst gaining new experiences
  • Building a new network both internally and externally, whilst boosting your confidence in the workplace
  • Peer to peer support – the programme is run as a cohort intake, so a number of returners will start the programme together. This will provide support to all those partaking in the programme

Opportunities on the Programme

Tax and Treasury Accountant

They are looking for a qualified Accountant to join the Hymans Robertson finance team as Tax & Treasury Accountant. The finance team play a major role in supporting the various sections of Hymans business and development wise you will get exposure to all facets of accounting and be able to tailor your career along a line that best suits you. This role will help strengthen their financial and management reporting capability. As well as ownership and development of the group’s tax and treasury functions, you will also be involved in business partnering and a range of project work.

You will be a qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CA, CIMA) with previous experience of business partnering / client service experience and the ability to liaise with senior leadership. 

Administrator

The ID Verification Specialist Administrator role will work as part of a dynamic administration business unit, as a member of the Quality Assurance and Risk Team, servicing both members and clients on Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension arrangements in respect of identity and verification checking, member screening processes, and detection, investigation and escalation of cases of potential financial crime.

They are looking for experience working in a financial services environment with excellent attention to detail and able to work quickly, accurately and discreetly. Ideally a self-starter who can manage themselves, is proactive, motivated and flexible. Candidates should have good IT skills, including working with Microsoft Office applications and great communications skills.

Team Co-ordinator

The Team Co-ordinator role will be part of the Insights and Analytics teams that build digital solutions for both the pensions and financial services markets. The role will focus on providing high level support to various groups and will be a key point of contact for many activities. They may also act as the nominated representative of a team member who requires additional administration support.

They are looking for candidates who have an interest in digital technology, are highly organised and self-motivated with skills in planning, organising and coordination. A flexible approach to solving problems is required as well as being respectful of confidentiality and applying discretion where needed. This would suit a team-player, able to mentor and support less experienced colleagues. 

Business Analyst

The Business Analyst role will be part of the Insights and Analytics teams that support the Pensions Market. The role will focus on providing the digital delivery team with accurate business requirements. These requirements could be for the development of new or enhanced functionality for systems and products that support their pension market propositions.

You will have an understanding of Agile development processes including Scrum and Lean along with an understanding of identifying and delivering improvements across change initiatives. They are looking for candidates with strong analytical skills and the ability to balance attention to detail with sight of the bigger picture. 

Eligibility for the Programme

Suitable candidates will have been on a career break for 18 months or more. Your career break may have been for childcare, eldercare or other reasons. You may have been working in a part time, small-scale role or participating in unpaid or charitable work.

You must have the right to work in the UK.
