DAC Beachcroft is partnering with Women Returners for their Reconnect Programme: A life that works as you return to law. The programme is aimed at experienced, legal professionals considering a return to private practice, in a friendly supportive environment, following an extended career break. Following the 6-month returnship, there will be a strong likelihood of permanent employment.

DAC Beachcroft will be holding an event to help you prepare for your return to the law.  The event will take place on Wednesday 13 January from 12 – 1.30pm, you are welcome to attend but it not a requirement.  Please register here.

About the Reconnect Programme

This 6-month returnship programme will fully support you to return to the law. Successful candidates will be provided with coaching support from Women Returners, a mentor within the business and a buddy for your day to day questions. You will also benefit from a peer support group of other returners within DAC Beachcroft.

Opportunities on the Reconnect Programme are available at solicitor level within a variety of practice areas across their offices in England. They are specifically interested in candidates with Insurance, Real Estate, Health and Business Advisory experience. However, they also welcome applications from other areas of the law and you will be asked to submit your preferences on the application form.

  • Shows sound judgement in decision making, focused on client and case needs.
  • Works with appropriate levels of supervision.
  • Develops a high quality level of technical expertise.
  • Demonstrates proactive financial management in relation to billing, credit control and client service level agreements.
  • Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day to day issues.
  • Demonstrates commercial judgement.
  • Team oriented and collegiate, with a willingness to work as part of a team on larger matters and to assist with development of business.
