Since the launch of their Returners programme in 2014, they have hired over 90 talented candidates into technical and leadership roles across the Group. And now they’re looking forward to hearing from you as they continue to grow this highly successful programme!

What does this programme offer?
LBG has 3 new positions for Relationship Directors within LBG’s Corporate & Institutional Coverage team. The successful applicants will be tasked with supporting the banking needs of a designated portfolio of some of LBG’s largest clients. They’ll help you get up to speed quickly within a supportive environment and they’ll provide you with challenges that make a difference to real lives, along with the opportunity to work alongside committed people caring about being the best bank for LBG’s customers.
During this 16 week programme, you’ll be part of a 2021 Returners cohort and will be supported during every step of the way as you transition back into the workplace. The aim is to offer you a permanent position if the placement is successful.
Coming back into the world of work after a career break can be really daunting – and LBG therefore knows how important flexibility is. They’re very aware that ‘normal’ office hours aren’t always doable, so will happily have the discussion about different working patterns with you.
Who are they looking for?
Talented individuals who are looking to return to work from a career break of at least two years. LBG would like to you be curious and keen to learn new skills and have a shared passion of helping Britain recover.
Banking or professional services experience is great, but they also really value transferable skills from other areas you may have worked in before. For example, strong communication skills are always key as you’ll be interacting with people across the business. You’ll also be inclusive and big on collaborating, quick to establish and build communities of meaningful relationships with key contacts, understanding their values, situation and opinions.
Why should you apply?
From being part of a Returners cohort with others in the same position, being provided a mentor and making sure working patterns are feasible for you – LBG wants to ensure this is a positive and valuable experience.
