Women Returners is delighted to partner with the Diversity Project, a cross-company initiative championing a more inclusive culture within the Savings and Investment sector, to launch the Diversity Project Return to Work Accelerator Coaching Bootcamp.
The Coaching Bootcamp is designed to support returning professionals who are currently on an extended career break of 18 months or more, and who wish to relaunch their careers within the Investment & Savings Sector in London. The free-of-charge Bootcamp is particularly targeted at the unsuccessful candidates for the 2021 Diversity Project Cross-Company Returner Programme, to provide additional support to strengthen future applications.
About the Diversity Project Return to Work Accelerator
The Bootcamp will provide tailored support to address the practical and psychological barriers to returning to work, to develop job search skills and to create an action plan to reach your goal of returning to the Investment and Savings Sector. Coaching modules, facilitated by Women Returners expert coaches, will include rebuilding confidence, tackling fears and doubts, clarifying career direction, creating CVs and LinkedIn Profiles, and developing interviewing and networking skills.
The 11-hour Bootcamp will be delivered remotely via Zoom, including break-out rooms to encourage a peer support network of like-minded individuals. As the Accelerator is funded by the Diversity Project, there is no cost for attending the Bootcamp. The Bootcamp will be delivered as a full coaching programme and therefore attendance is required throughout.
The coaching sessions will be delivered once every two weeks to enable personal research and reflection between sessions. The dates for the sessions are: 11 May, 25 May, 8 June and 22 June from 10am to 12.30pm. There will also be an additional session focused on Relaunching into the Investment and Savings Sector (date TBD).

Feedback on a Previous Return to Work Accelerator Coaching Bootcamp
Women Returners delivered the Return to Work Accelerator Coaching Bootcamp to women returners in Scotland earlier this year, funded by the Scottish Government. 100% of participants confirmed that the Coaching Bootcamp increased their confidence in their return to work and that it was supportive and helpful.
“The Return to Work Accelerator Bootcamp gave me the confidence which had eroded over the course of 10+ yrs career break of how to get back into a workplace. Before I joined the session I had applied for various jobs locally and it seemed like my career break was a sticking point, this resulted in further knocks to my confidence. At the end of the session I felt I had gained confidence to go back into the job market. I felt comfortable to apply for roles where my skills are transferrable and a career break is no longer an hindrance, in fact I feel it is now my strength. The whole experience has allowed me to develop a can do attitude and my understanding of what I can really achieve as a person.” 2021 Participant.
“I gained a lot from the Return to Work Accelerator Bootcamp and would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about getting back to the workplace after a career break. It boosted my confidence, replaced my self-doubt with a more “can do” attitude and facilitated a re-connection with my work identify. Less than a week after the course, I had secured my first interview – fingers crossed!” 2021 Participant.
